Florida Man March 29 – In the time of Corona

These Florida Man March 29 stories, like most stories from 2020, revolve around the pandemic.

The virus pretty much dominated the news the entire year. So below, we will see how the Florida men dealt with it, Florida style.

Florida Man March 29, 2020 – Coughing in the Face of the Law

STUART, Fla. – During the pandemic, a Florida man tried to threaten an officer by coughing at his face and tell he was positive for the virus.

23-year-old Christian Perez was stopped due to reckless driving and suspicion of driving under the influence.

While he was being questioned, the officer gave him a mask to cover his mouth while they talked.

Perez took it and used it at first. However, he soon removed it and started coughing intentionally towards the officer’s face.

He did this while stating that he was infected with the coronavirus.

When asked for a license, Perez couldn’t produce one.

This led to him being charged with driving without a license and driving under the influence.

I am not sure if this was the best strategy to get out of a ticket.

Sheriff William Snyder stated, “We have zero tolerance for this despicable behavior, and anyone who threatens the health and lives of my deputies will face the maximum charges.”

He also told the reporter that this action would be sanctioned to the highest level.

Perez is now facing multiple charges. As of the press release, it was still not proven if he had the virus.

Law enforcement officers were one of the hardest-hit professions. It is no wonder they threw the book at this guy.

Florida Man March 29, 2020 – Weapon of Mass Stupidity

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A threat of “intentional COVID-19 contamination’ was reported to the Sheriff’s Office on the morning of March 29 at a local business in town.

The report stated that a Florida man came into a local business holding a bottle with a label saying COVID-19.

The man entered the building and started spraying it on the business entrance. He was also heard telling the staff that he was infecting everyone with the virus.

This caused chaos and panic among the people inside the business. Luckily the incident was immediately reported to the local police.

The suspect, David Randolph White, 50, was identified by JSO’s Intelligence Unit and the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force upon investigating the incident.

White is facing charges of manufacturing, possessing, and threatening the use of a weapon or hoax weapon of mass destruction. He is still being held on these federal offenses.

The business was reported to take all precautionary measures to disinfect the establishment and ensure no virus spread.
